Just when you thought that eating meat couldn’t get any trickier, something else comes along a blows everything you thought you knew out of the water. A new study on foodborne illness has shown that “free range” livestock pose and even greater health risk than previously believed.
Many have bought into the myth that eating “free range” animals is better for their health because animals are not injected with as many antibiotics and other chemicals that allow animals to live in feces. It turns out that allowing animals fresh air and the ability to move around exposes animals to a greater number of dangerous bacteria and parasites. Most of these bacteria and parasites are not dangerous to the animal itself but can be dangerous to the human that EATS the infected meat.
The “free range” myth is alive and well in today’s green movement. It’s time to get real, “free range” is not natural. Raising animals to murder is not natural. Uncomplicate your life are go vegan. If not, THIS may be a better option for you.
