Once a self-described anarchist, Sex Pistols frontman Johnny Rotten is now the poster child for Country Life Butter.

Punk rock legend Johnny Rotten (or John Lyndon as he was born) got a major wad of cash when he agreed to star in a commercial for one of Britain’s biggest butter companies. Rotten is now using the money from his 2008 butter contract to finance his new band’s album and tour.

A former anarchist and punk archetype using butter money to finance a band? That is the furthest thing from punk you can possibly get.
