ALF Destroys German Factory Farm.

The Animal Liberation Front has taken credit for the destruction of a planned chicken factory in Germany.
A statement from someone close to the action appeared on Bite Back Magazine’s Dairy of Actions claiming that the ALF intentionally brunt down a factory farm just before construction could be completed. No one was harmed and the incident will cost the factory owner just under $1 million in damages. The ALF says the action was carried out as an “emancipation” of animals that have become “objectified” by the factory farm industry.
No doubt that this action will prevent the owners of the factory farm from making money off the exploitation of animals for awhile at least. Still, many vegan activists passionately debate the need, ethics, and efficacy of direct action by groups like the ALF.
Whether you agree or disagree with the burning down of a factory farm the fact remains, just under $1 million worth of damage sends a very strong message.
