Being Veg is Part of The Beatles History.

Liverpool Hope University announced recently that it will be the first university in the world to offer a Masters degree in The Beatles. The program will offer a look at the cultural and historical context of the Beatles’ music in order to better understand why, after 40-years, the band’s music still holds such an important place in our hearts.
The program will also focus on who the Beatles were as people as well as public figures. Part of understanding who the Beatles really were should ultimately involve a look at the fab four’s ethical choices. For brief period in the late sixties, all four of the Beatles went vegetarian. George Harrison and Paul McCartney stayed veg and went on to be vocal advocates of animal rights and vegetarianism.
So, will Liverpool Hope University offer a look into the importance vegetarianism had in the Beatles creativity? One thing is for sure, getting a Masters degree for listening to Beatles music all day would be really sweet.
