Subway’s New Pulled Pork Sub.

After a major campaign to get Subway to carry Tofurky Deli Slices, the sandwich chain decided to go the complete opposite direction and dive headfirst into the BBQ market. Early reviews of Subway’s new pulled pork sub are not looking so good.
Esquire magazine’s meat-heavy food blog, Eat Like a Man, sampled the new pulled pork sub with gag inducing results. They said the new meat option “looks like tuna and tastes like ham.” The BBQ sauce isn’t helping their case either. Esquire says the sauce tastes “suspiciously like ketchup” concluding that the whole meal should be “avoided at all costs.”
Subway took to twitter to promote their new BBQ sub by purchasing the trending topic #SUBWAYAllStarBBQ. The whole thing backfired. Scores of people used the trending opportunity to trash Subway’s new BBQ sub with hilarious tweets like “#SUBWAYAllStarBBQ Why wait for you stupid body to turn food into diarrhea.”
Sorry Subway. You might be the world’s largest fast-food chain but the BBQ game just isn’t your thing. Can we have Tofurky Deli Slices now?
