SHAC Activists Sentenced.

Seven members of the group Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty (SHAC) were sentenced today in the United Kingdom. Judging by the stiff sentences that were handed down, it appears the green scare is just as alive Europe as it is in America. The sentences were as follows:
“Heather Nicholson, 41, a founding member of the Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty (SHAC) group, was sentenced to 11 years in prison, while co-founders Gregg and Natasha Avery, 41 and 39 respectively, received nine-year sentences. 22-year-old Daniel Amos received a four-year sentence. Gavin Medd-Hall, 45, who researched HLS customers over the Internet, was sentenced to eight years in prison, while 20-year-old Gerrah Selby and 21-year-old Daniel Wadham got four and five years respectively.”
The SHAC members were protesting Huntingdon Life Sciences and their suppliers for crimes against beagles, primates, rats, among many other animals. You can read about the horrors of HLS here or watch the video (below) that inspired SHAC to do what they do so well:
Our hearts are with SHAC U.K. and their families.
