University Experiments on Lost Dogs.
The University of Michigan is drawing fire after the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) revealed that UM is practicing trauma surgery on lost dogs.
“Documents obtained by PCRM under the Michigan Freedom of Information Act reveal that the university is using lost or surrendered pets—including a silver-and-black malamute named Koda and a wandering golden retriever picked up while still wearing his blue collar—for these lethal procedures.”
The use of animals in laboratories in cruel and inhumane. Alternatives to vivisection are widely available and range from FREE to DIRT CHEAP. The American College of Surgeons has even endorsed the use of non-animal alternates in testing.
