Friday Vegan Spotlight: Casey Afflack

Uber vegan Casey Afflack is one of the most interesting and talented actor/writer/directors in recent memory. Casey has been in the news a lot lately for his work directing a documentary about fellow vegan (and brother-in-law) Joaquin Pheonix and his “rise to fame” as a superstar rapper.

Casey has appeared in a number of films including Gus Van Sant’s Good Will Hunting and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. He is an amazing character actor that steals the screen from any more well known actor he’s appeared with and received Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for his role in Jesse James. Casey is definitely the more talented and better looking of the Afflack bothers (sorry Ben).

Casey has been an important advocate for the welfare of animals and has been vegan about 14 years! Casey wants people to go vegan for their health, the environment, and of course the animals. Check out some of Casey’s films and support this great activist and artist.
