Next President a Vegetarian?

Even though Obama has only been president for a few weeks, analysts are already looking for his successor. The Guardian UK is predicting a 2016 presidential run from Newark mayor Cory Booker a “non-drinking, non-smoking vegetarian.”

Like Obama, Booker is a rock star with very wealthy and power friends (including Oprah). He’s also a powerful speaker with an Ivy League education. But beyond these drawbacks, Booker is a dedicated vegetarian; which is VERY cool.

Electing a vegetarian or vegan would really show that our country was a diverse nation dedicated to well being and freedom for ALL. It would place animal rights into the political spotlight like never before and possibly revolutionize the movement. We’ll have to wait until 2016 to see if Booker has a chance or if we can get a VEGAN to run instead.
