Sarah Palin vs. Nature

The Defenders of Wildlife have launched a high profile campaign to urge Sarah Palin to stop encouraging the slaughter of wolves in Alaska. This issue received some attention during the Presidential campaign and thankfully, dedicated activists aren’t letting anyone forget.

Eye on Palin claims that Palin authorized the killing of wolves by shooting guns from airplanes and helicopters after running them to the point of exhaustion. She also offered a $150 bounty entice hunters to kill more wolves in certain parts of the state, with hunters having to present a wolf’s foreleg to collect the bounty.
