Make Your Own Animal Mummy.

An independent learning space in Brooklyn called Observatory is offering a unique set of summer school courses including a hands-on DIY course on mummification. 

Students in the mummy class will practice their skills by making their very own animal mummy. Everyone who signs up will be issued an animal procured through pet feeder supply stores or meat markets. Following the directions written out in the “Egyptian Book of the Dead,” students will turn their animal corpse into a real life mummy.

If you had $60 and four hours of free time today you could sign up but unfortunately the class is already sold out. 

Summer school is a lot weirder than when I was a kid.
