KFC Fights Diabetes With ‘Mega Jug.’

Help KFC fight diabetes by grabbing a ‘Mega Jug’ of soda on your next visit.
The Mega Jug is KFC’s unholy bucket-o-pop which contains a half gallon of syrupy 800 calorie soda - that’s the equivalent of an entire six-pack of 12 oz cans. This thing makes 7-Eleven’s Big Gulp look child’s size. After guzzling a half-gallon of soda, you might feel a little guilty (and possibly slightly comatose) so KFC has a plan to make it all better.
The fast food chain says that for every Mega Jug sold they’ll donate $1 to help fight juvenile diabetes. This is just too ironic.
To KFC’s credit, the charity they are donating to supports testing designed to help treat Type 1 diabetes which is genetic and not caused by drinking too many Mega Jugs of soda. Nonetheless, it’s ironic that KFC would try to help fight Type 1 diabetes by giving people Type 2.
