18% Of Americans Implement Meatless Mondays.

Two surveys from two different sources have come back with surprising results about the awareness and impact of Meatless Monday.
The first, commissioned by the Meatless Monday organization and performed by research firm FGI Research, found that 50.22% of Americans are at least “aware” of Meatless Monday. Shocking mostly because the same survey conducted 6-months ago found that only 30% of Americans were “aware” of Meatless Monday. That’s a 20% jump in 6-months.
Alright…people know it exists!
Getting excited about awareness alone might seem silly but other surveys are finding that awareness is translating into real positive action. The American Meat Institute commissioned a study and found that 18% of Americans are “implementing meatless Mondays.” That’s almost 60 million people practicing some form of Meatless Monday.
Meatless Monday is a great campaign because it’s so easy to implement and promote. Everyone from hardcore vegans to the US military are encouraging people to avoid meat at least one day a week. Just a small change in what someone eats can have a huge impact on their health, the lives of animals, and the planet.
What do you think, can we get awareness up to 20% more in the next 6-months?
