Marmite Banned in Denmark.

The brown sticky yeast extract known as Marmite has officially been banned in Denmark. Beloved by many and hated by many more, the nutritious vegan spread just can’t seem to get any respect.
Marmite is most well known and loved in the UK. The brown sticky spread is a yeast extract usually put on dry toast and is fortified with vitamins. This fortification is what made Marmite the target of a take-down. In 2004 the Danish government placed a ban on products that were fortified with vitamins so many cereals and drinks like Ovaltine were banned outright. Marmite was supposed to be banned too but flew under the radar, presumably because no one knew what the hell Marmite was but now they’ve been caught.
Marmite is beloved by many vegans for its savory flavor and high vitamin content. A single spoonful is 1.5 grams of protein and 60% of your daily B12! Danish vegans are going to be very mad. The Guardian UK is making it sound like British citizens residing in Denmark are going to flee the country if they can’t get their Marmite in a timely fashion.
This sounds serious folks.
