EU Demands Fur/Leather Be Labeled.

The European Union passed regulations that will soon require that clothing which contains leather or fur be clearly labeled.
The new regulations demand that clothing sold in the EU that contain any fur or leather bare a label that states the item contains ”parts of animal origin.” This will allow consumers to easily tell if an item is real or faux.
Humane Society International welcomes the change saying “many consumers can’t tell the difference between fake and real animal fur.” The regulations will allow people who have ethical objections to fur or leather to steer clear.
One step closer to getting retailers to put even more truth on the label. Waiting for the day when a fur coat label says “real fur from 40 different animals.”
