23,000 Bunnies Killed For Easter Hunt.

Organizers of the “Great Easter Bunny Hunt” in New Zealand estimate that this year’s kill is over 23,000 bunnies.
The Great Easter Bunny Hunt is an annual event that raises money for multiple charities in the region and is considered “pest control” for farmers. Witnesses say it’s a “party atmosphere” where inexperienced hunters travel around blasting away at anything that moves.
They say over 23,000 bunnies were killed but many more were injured and hide where they eventually die.
The event involves 47 teams of 12 hunters each. The team that kills the most “Easter bunnies” is awarded $2,600 in prize money.
And I thought dying eggs was a bad Easter tradition. Murdering the Easter Bunny for prize money is the ultimate low.
