McDonald’s to Raise Prices Again.

This one is bound to cause a few slug-out brawls at Mickey D’s restaurants around the country.

Due to the increasing cost of cheese, meat, and bread, McDonald’s will begin raising the cost of their menu items by 4%. Does this mean the dollar menu will become the “$1.04 menu?” That is still cheaper than any meat and dairy meal should ever cost.

Bloomberg Business Week wrote about McDonalds a few months back when the chain announced they were scaling back Ronald’s presence and switching over to green and brown earth tones for restaurant decor. This combined with the sudden interest in coffee and the 4% price increase really does make me wonder if they are slowly morphing into Starbucks.

McDonalds currently generates over $24 billion in profits every year.
