Is Soy Suitable For Men?

The question “is soy suitable for men?” was posed recently to the resident health expert at Canada’s Globe and Mail newspaper. Seems like a dumb question yet one that is asked more often than you would think.
The expert explained to the confused questioner that:
“a study conducted in more than 12,000 Californian men found that those who drank a soy beverage daily, compared to those who never drank it, were 70 per cent less likely to develop prostate cancer. ”
The short answer here is yes, soy is suitable for men and can actually improve their health.
Asking if soy is “suitable for men” is veiled way of asking “does soy turn men gay?” The gay soy theory is based on zero fact but is often perpetuated by ignorant authors like Jim Rutz. In 2006, Rutz wrote that:
“Soy is feminizing and commonly leads to a decrease in the size of penis, sexual confusion, and homosexuality.”
Real studies show that soy is actually good for men and women’s health. It only poses a threat to the masculinity of those around you who insist on putting you down for eating it.
