Baby Dolphins Killed, Some Blame BP.

Twenty-eight dead baby dolphins have washed ashore on the Gulf Coast and environmental groups trace the deaths back to BP.
Finding a few dead baby dolphins every birthing season is a normal occurring but this year the number of dead is up 10 times the average. Groups like Greenpeace are pointing out that the BP’s Deep Water Horizon oil spill happened during dolphin breeding season and could be to blame.
A reasonable argument considering that the oil spill has had a devastating effect on the Gulf Coast ecosystem and that scientists in the region say the ocean floor is still coated in a thick layer of oil.
The Institute of Marine Mammal Studies is currently investigating the cause of just another in a growing list of “mysterious” mass animal deaths. I’m beginning to think they are less mysterious than we all want to admit.
