Michael Vick Cancels Oprah Interview.

Michael Vick has backed out of the February interview he was set to do with talk show queen and recent vegan convert, Oprah.

The Oprah Show had announced that Vick was going to discuss his recent prison time for dogfighting and his return to the NFL.  Vick’s agent told Oprah today that Vick had to cancel his appearance for “personal reasons.”  Think being a total jackass counts as a “personal reason”? 

Oprah won a $300 bet with Piers Morgan to see who could book Vick first and now it’s rumored that Vick ditched PETA’s Person of the Year 2009 to go with the the Brit who banned Madonna from his show for being “too vegan.”  This will be a much easier interview for Vick.

This whole incident really backfired for Vick.  He was going to do Oprah to show people he’s just a nice young man and then he got scared that he might have to take the tough questions.  Even if Vick went through with the interview, it was not going to help people forget that he drowned, electrocuted, and shot dozens of dogs as part of an underground dogfighting ring.
