Superbugs Arrive at the Supermarket.

Researchers bought 100 samples of chicken from supermarkets around Canada and had them tested for dangerous bacteria and the results are startling.
Out of 100 chicken samples, nearly 70 were coated in “superbug” bacteria that is resistant to at least one antibiotic. Superbugs on common chicken dinners at the supermarket.
Superbugs, or drug resistant bacteria, are caused by overfeeding antibiotics to animals on factory farms. Animals in factories are fed 65 million pounds on antibiotics every year and the superbugs continue to mutate and strengthen.
Now that the drug resistant bacteria are popping up in supermarkets, more people will start getting sick and we might see more action against these practices because of it.
