Duke University Promotes Vegetarianism.

In their latest push to promote a healthy student body and reduce their impact on the environment, the Duke University has begun pushing a vegetarian diet. A mass e-mail sent to students, faculty, and staff on reads:
Eating vegetarian is good for your health and the planet. Studies show a decreased risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes with a vegetarian diet.
A vegetarian diet also produces less of the greenhouse gases that cause climate change. Plus, eating vegetarian can usually save you money compared to eating meat…
Accept the green devil challenge by pledging to eat vegetarian.
Way to go Duke. Maybe they’ll be in the running for this year’s most veg-friendly college. I wish my school would have done something like this when I was in college.
