Is Taco Bell “Beef” 64% Vegan?

Taco Bell is under the warming lamp today. The fast-food giant is facing a lawsuit for false advertising real “beef” products. Recent tests proved the barely 36% of their “beef” is actual meat. This leads many to wonder, is Taco Bell “beef” 64% vegan.
Along with all their other duties, the USDA also sets regulations on what is considers “beef taco filling.” Taco Bell’s 36% beef is frighteningly close the actual USDA requirement of only 40% meat in beef taco filling. I’m sure Taco Bell’s making bank off the extra 4% beef their leaving out of each taco.

If the “beef” is only 36% meat, what makes up the other 64%? Turns out it is a mixture of isolated oat product, salt, silicon dioxide (the stuff they make glass windows and plastic bottles from) and a number of other unnatural/unhealthy ingredients that are, in fact, vegan.
So Taco Bell beef is only made of 36% animal cruelty but eating it is definitely 100% cruel to yourself. If you have to go, get the bean burrito fresco style (means no cheese or sour cream) and add potatoes.
