Scared Police Kill Cows in Hail of Bullets.

Police in Quebec are working overtime to defend their actions after they shot two cows to death.

The incident started when two cows bound for a slaughterhouse in Quebec, Canada, escaped from a trailer. Local police responded to the scene and surrounded the terrified cows with their cars. When the cows were not willing to go quietly back to the trailer, police opened fire, killing both cows in a hail of bullets. CBC News reports that police shot one of the cows ten times before he collapsed and died on the road.

Police are defending their officers’ actions, citing difficulty getting the cows back onto the trailer. Officers said the cows were acting aggressively and were shot to death to protect the public safety. In essence, the Quebec police would say that two cows were more of a public safety concern then firing off dozens of bullets in a public area.

This incident could turn out to be a disaster for these trigger-happy Quebec cops especially because much of the shooting was caught on tape. Thanks to the internet, you can bet this tragedy is going to hang over their heads for a long time.
