McDonalds Gets Veal Burger.

McDonalds Gets Veal Burger.

mczuri veal burger

The menu at a fast-food chain might be the last place you would expect to see veal but McDonalds is about to to make it happen.

Swiss McDonalds customers will soon be able to order the McZuri, a 100% ground-veal burger. The master chefs who concocted this unholy recipe opted out of using the cheese on burger and instead put on a hash brown patty. The McZuri will be sold only at locations in Switzerland, but no matter where you are in the world, McDonalds will provide you a bizarre dining experience with regional flair.

In the Northeastern US, some locations sell a lobster and mayo bowl called the McLobster. Rather than hot pocket apple pie desserts, diners in the Philippines can pick up a Tuna Pie. Compared to these though, the veal burger is the worst.

Veal is a known to be one of the most inhumane meat products. The softness of veal comes from feeding baby cows a low iron diet and keeping them confined their whole lives by shackling them in crates. The young cows never develop healthy muscles and are so weak, they can barely stand.

McDonalds’s entrance into the veal market is shameful especially when they claim on their own site that they “care about the humane treatment of animals.” Is veal their standard by which they judge humane treatment? I never expected compassion from McDonalds, I just thought they’d be too cheap for veal.
