Win Beef on Wheel of Fortune.

Screw the free Cancun vacation, spin the wheel, I want that BEEF!

South Dakota based non-profit, and Applebee’s/Beef Council front group, Beef Bucks Inc., worked out a deal with the producers of Wheel of Fortune to add an unconventional to prize the wheel. Along with prizes like cash, tropical vacations, and dream houses, contestants will now compete for $1,000 worth of Beef Bucks. 

Beef Bucks are essentially money on a pre-paid VISA card that can only be used to purchase beef.  You can pretty much use Beef Bucks where ever beef is sold. Call me old-fashioned, but even if I ate beef I’d rather win a stack of cash. 

We used to go on TV game shows to compete for million dollar cash prizes, new cars, and celebrity spa getaways.  Now we compete for pre-paid debit cards valid only for purchases of beef.  If this isn’t a sign of America’s decline, I don’t know what is.
